We had delayed in finishing our basement for many years because we had several poor experiences with contractors over the years. When I finally decided to talk to Sam at Floors & Designs, I immediately felt that they took my concerns seriously and were willing to meet my expectations. Throughout the entire process, we were kept well informed. The project was completed on time, if not a few days early. They were at my house every day, working full days to complete the project in as little time and disruption as possible. They always went above and beyond to complete the project in ways that took into consideration what is “nicer” and “better”, rather than just getting done. They often knew what we would want better than we did, and would make the recommendations. Our basement has been completed, and is so much better than we had hoped, and the experience was perfect! Although Floors & Design may not have been the cheapest option out there, I will definitely use them again for all the reasons stated above

I recently used Floors& Designs to update my flooring from carpeting to hardwoods. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Sam in the store was extremely professional and helped me select a color that would go well with my cherry cabinets. Jason did a fabulous job measuring my space and providing an estimate. The price was extremely fair and less than competitors. In fact I was able to do the main level, stairs and upper level hallway for less than what others had quoted me for just the main level.  I was given 15 month financing with no interest which made the decision a no-brainer. The installers were extremely professional and did a wonderful job in 2 1/2 days. Overall I am extremely pleased and the new hardwoods completely changed the look of my house.  I strongly recommend Floors& Designs for any flooring project.

I have nothing but good things to say about this outfit at Floors & Design – Excellent Customer Service, product selection and technical installation.  Jason came out and took measurements of our kitchen and hallway and answered a few of our questions the day after my initial email inquiry.  The quoted price was more than fair – some 35% lower than an absurd quote I got from Home Depot’s flooring team (see my other review) and totally transparent.   We stopped by the Floors & Designs showroom to finalize our flooring selections and schedule installation.  The install crew, led by Sam, finished the job on schedule despite having his partner call out sick on day one.  The cost did not fluctuate a dollar up or down.  The floor looks great and the installation has been bulletproof so far.

The main lesson learned here was to never do business with big box operations with tons of overhead and bozo customer service reps/salespeople eating up payroll, and opt instead for a lean and technically proficient local outfit like Floors & Designs. Highly Recommended.

Excellent Jason come to our house, listened to what I wanted, and provided samples for me to choose from. He also explained how they could work around a tricky area. No hard sell which I appreciate, just knowledgeable. Maria was very helpful with the paperwork and setting up the schedule. The two men who installed the hardwood floor were prompt, courteous, and incredibly hard workers. They were done hours before I expected them to be and the floor looked fantastic. All in all, happy with Floors & Designs and would recommend them to friends.

I originally signed up for an estimate on their website. They responded quickly and got me an appointment right away. My estimate was rescheduled due to snow but they were on top of calling me back to make sure the time and date were good. When Jason came to give me the estimate, he was very professional and helped me understand how everything would work out. He was able to give me a quote immediately based on carpet samples he brought and e-mailed me the full detailed estimate later that day. I took my husband to the show room to look at different options and the man there was very informative about their different selections. He helped us pick a really great carpet that was high quality. The people that came to our house to install the carpet were also very professional and did a great job. The whole experience was a breeze and the end product is fantastic. This was one of the best home improvement experiences to date. I’ve been updating my home for the last 2 years, so I’ve had a variety of experiences with different companies. Sam even accommodated my pickiness and attention to detail so well, that he sent someone back to my home to help with a small challenge with my floor!

These guys were great and very professional.  They were the cheapest out of the 3-4 bids I obtained.  The installer was awesome.it was just one guy for our install and he worked his butt off all day.  They applied a coupon and special 0% financing even though the terms stated it was one or the other.  My future flooring needs will be met by these folks.

Customer service was excellent. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant, patient and very helpful. It took us a while to get things squared away on our end and we kept changing our minds but Sam and his staffs were extremely accommodating. Additionally they were priced most reasonably in the area.  I definitely recommend them.

We enjoyed every step of the process with Floors & Designs from our first browsing visit till the installation. The selection of hardwood flooring was just what we were looking for and it was special. Sam the salesman was very patient with us. I have visited their store after visiting more than 6 flooring stores for my home improvement project. They are located 45 min drive distance from my place therefore I first called them for a quota. Sam sounded really friendly and gave me a good price with some more room for negotiation if I come to the place. Based on the positive reviews I drove all the way there and I can say it was worth it. First of all let me say why this place is unique: Because they have samples for all major carpets and they don’t stock a particular one. This makes a lot of difference. Most stores just stock one type and try to persuade you to buy that one. However Sam said to me that he does not work that way and he can order anything according to my liking. This brought objectivity in the sale. He values customer relations and tries his best for earning your business. Not everyone in this market is such customer oriented. He eventually gave me an excellent price for a very nice smart strand silk carpet and there have been no problems in installation at all. I am happy with my purchase and recommend this place to anyone who needs flooring improvements…

Luis from Floors & Designs did an amazing job of installing our hardwood floors. He was prompt, professional and made our floors look beautiful! The way he framed wood around the fireplace looks fantastic! Once finished, he cleaned everything up nicely and gave advice about caring for the floors.  Also, he made efficient use of the materials and we had a lot of wood left over.
When Sam, the owner, gave us an estimate, I had the feeling he took pride in the quality of his work and would do a great job. I was right!  Sam was pleasant to work with and was very responsive in answering all of our questions prior to the installation. We also felt that we got a good price for the service – especially when you consider the fantastic quality of work done. We highly recommend!

We found Floors and Designs through Yelp and we are so happy we did!  Sam was knowledgeable and honest, and he gave us an amazing deal (almost $1,500 less than HD and Empire).  He also very understood when he had to reschedule our installation.  We had the flooring in our entire home replaced; we installed hardwood floors on the main level, and carpet in both the basement and upstairs.  Everyone that enters our house compliments the hardwood; it is gorgeous!  The carpet is also especially nice.  We originally chose more expensive carpeting but decided to go down a level to save money; notwithstanding, the carpet is great!  The installers were friendly, hardworking (the hardwood installer was at our home from 8-7 on both days) and clean.  I would definitely recommend Floors & Designs to anyone looking for hardwood and/or carpet!!
